jonathan sanford
Jonathan comes to Watters Road, originally from Jasper, AL. He began leading singing as a child at the Midway Church of Christ at 5 years old. He began guest-speaking as a young teenager, and became the pulpit minister of the Manchester Church of Christ at the age of 19. Jonathan continued serving as a pulpit minister, and youth minister during his years of ministerial training and undergraduate studies at Heritage Christian University in Florence, AL.
Jonathan was blessed to meet his wife (Jennifer) in June of 2002, and the two were united in marriage on January 4th 2003. Jennifer served our nation as an E5 SGT in the US Army, until the birth of their first daughter Hailey. Jonathan has over 18 years of full-time ministerial service as both a pulpit minister and youth and family minister. He has served in the Houston, TX area (2003-2011, current), Austin, TX area (2012-2018), and back in his home state of Alabama, (1997-2003).
In addition to his ministerial service, Jonathan served from 2012 through 2018 as the in-arena voice of the NBA franchise, San Antonio Spurs, G-League Affiliate, Austin Spurs, and WNBA franchise, San Antonio Stars. Jonathan’s vocal ability was a signature element of the fan-experience for all San Antonio Spurs home games and was heard by millions watching worldwide during NBA television broadcasts via ABC/ESPN, TNT, and Fox Sports. In June 2014, Jonathan would announce his first NBA Finals, which culminated in the Spurs becoming world champions for the 5th time in franchise history.
Jonathan and Jennifer have five children – Hailey, Tegan, Billy, Emilia, and Zachary.
Charles wears many hats! His busy ministry covers all aspects of education, he is the full time Congregational minister, and is the staff manager. His work is vital to the every day smooth function of the office and the daily matters that need an elder's attention. A huge part of his ministry is visitation of the sick and shut-ins. Charles is also very involved with the community. He and his wife Marilyn have served Watters Road since 1989.

Guy's primary ministry is working with our youth and families. He has a desire to see our teenagers and their families grow together in their love for the Lord. Guy spends much of his time studying the Bible with young people and developing relationships with them in their environments whether at school, sporting events, church, or their homes. Guy is passionate about discipleship and puts emphasis on not only teaching the youth about Christ but also on teaching them how to teach and serve others! Guy, his wife Nancy, and their two young children Aspen and Sydney have served Watters Road since 2007.
